'She ended stan Twitter': Fans praise Taylor Swift as she slams being repeatedly pitted against Beyonce
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Taylor Swift is frustrated by the media's attempts to pit her against fellow pop star Beyonce.
The TIME Magazine's Person of the Year expressed her disappointment with the numerous comparisons between her Eras Tour and Beyonce's Renaissance World Tour in the magazine's cover story interview.
"There were so many stadium tours this summer, but the only ones that were compared were me and Beyoncé," she told TIME.
Blaming the stan culture, she added, "Clearly it's very lucrative for the media and stan culture to pit two women against each other, even when those two artists in question refuse to participate in that discussion."
Swift was selected as TIME's Person of the Year 2023 on December 6 as an honor for her record-breaking achievements in the year and the global influence she had through her Eras Tour, the release of the re-recorded album '1989' and the 'Eras Tour' movie.

Beyonce is a 'precious gem,' says Taylor Swift
The 'Anti-Hero' singer has a years-long relationship with the Queen Bey.
"She's the most precious gem of a person — warm and open and funny," Swift said about the 'Irreplaceable' singer, adding, "And she's such a great disrupter of music-industry norms. She taught every artist how to flip the table and challenge archaic business practices."
However, all the irrelevant comparisons were swept away when both made a joint statement by attending each other's concert film premieres. Beyonce showed up to Swift's Los Angeles premiere of 'The Eras Tour' movie in October, and the 'Cruel Summer' singer returned the favor by making a sizzling appearance in the London premiere of Beyonce's 'Renaissance' concert film in November.
After attending the 'Renaissance' London premiere, Swift took to Instagram to show her excitement. She shared photos with Beyonce and wrote, "Got invited to London by The Queen… Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé is in theaters now!!"

During her 'Eras Tour' movie premiere, Swift thanked Beyonce, saying she would never know how her life would have turned without the latter's influence.
"The way she's taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She's been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale," she wrote on Instagram.

Swift's transparency over the disappointment over the fan fights or media juxtaposing her achievements with Beyonce shows that two female pop singers can occupy the same space simultaneously and empower each other.
Fans hail Taylor Swift for putting an end to stan culture
Swift's revelation shows she is not fond of the extreme fandom that extends to reviling her fellow pop singers.
Social media reactions also prove that many Swifties indeed found this culture frustrating, as many thanked Swift for ending this once and for all.
One user said, "She ended stan twitter."
Another user wrote, "I love that she's speaking out on this because I always found it so frustrating to see Swifties and Beyhive fight when it's so obvious that both ladies make different music, and therefore would have different shows. You won't see Taylor dancing like America Has A Problem or Beyoncé performing like Tolerate It."

A fourth user remarked, "Stan culture can rest now."
"SHE'S CALLED MOTHER FOR A REASON," said one user.
Another added, "That's how you respond. Killing all allegations and uplifting her advocacies at once."
