LONDON, ENGLAND: 'Ted Lasso' star Hannah Waddingham had a few choice words for a photographer's remark about her while standing on the red carpet at the Olivier Awards on Sunday, April 14.

Waddingham opened the evening with a rendition of 'Anything Goes' while serving as host of the Olivier Awards, which honor the finest in British theater.

The biggest winner of the evening was 'Sunset Boulevard,' which took home seven awards, including Nicole Scherzinger for Actress in a Musical and Tom Francis for Best Actor in a Musical, per Variety.

Hannah Waddingham snubs photographer who asks her to 'show leg'

The British actress can be heard responding angrily to a photographer's request to "show leg" in a fan video of the exchange captured and released on X (formerly Twitter).

Waddingham remarked, "Oh my God, you'd never say that to a man, my friend," before continuing, "Don't be a d**k otherwise I’ll move off. Don't say 'show me leg'. No."

Waddingham looked stunning in a custom Marchesa gown and went inside for the event but paused to speak with the photographer again, telling him to "have some manners."

The 'Ted Lasso' actress is no stranger to advocating for herself; she recently told a story about the moment she made the decision to stop taking small film and television jobs.

"So I said to my agents at the time, ‘I’m not doing it anymore… If it’s one scene, I’m not doing it anymore, and you shouldn’t be putting me up for it because it’s insulting’," Waddingham declared on the 'Rule Breakers' podcast with Michelle Visage.

"I’ve been a leading lady for 22 years. I’m not doing it anymore. I’d rather be in a world where I’m appreciated," Waddingham said at the time.

Netizens praise Hannah Waddingham for delivering lessons

Following Hannah Waddingham's lashing out at the red-carpet photographer for making the sexist comment, social media users praised the English actress on X for delivering a lesson in manners.

One X user posted a clip from the iconic moment and wrote, "Long story short: hannah was being her gorgeous self and the made some comment about her leg we couldn't quite make out and... well, the video speaks for itself. This woman is a role model. Always, always call pricks out on their bullshit."

Others flocked to the comment section to laud the actress for her act, with one stating, "Damn rude photographer. I’m glad she called him out! And I’m glad her friend Michael Ball was there to give her a hug; I’m sure she needed it in that moment."

A second one added, "I could not love her more! I absolutely LOVE that she stands her ground and will not let people treat her like crap."

"The snapper wanted her to show some leg and she politely said he wouldn’t ask a man to do that. Good for her. Creepy old man," chimed in a third one.

A fourth one noted, "This needs to be required viewing for everyone as both a lesson in standing up for yourself & also to have some manners! Thank you for sharing it!"

"I only know her from Ted Lasso, and I absolutely adored her. Now this? This is boss!" exclaimed one.

"What a queen - just when I thought I couldn’t love her more!" added another.

Another one wrote in part of their post, "Men like this need their passes for these events to revoked. Women are not your objects to objectify and command to move as you see fit."
