‘She is saving Met Gala’: Zendaya’s changeup from edgy gown to another with floral headpiece stuns fans

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: After five long years, Zendaya made a highly anticipated return to the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 6. This time she was also there as a first-time co-chair for the annual Met Gala.

After making a grand entrance in a tulle Maison Margiela gown, the 'Euphoria' actress stunned her fans as she walked the Met Gala 2024 red carpet yet again in a new look. 

Zendaya's Met Gala 2024 looks

First, the 'Challengers' star went full fairy-tale villain with a gothic look in an incredible Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano creation, which was based on a 1999 Dior dress.

The dress was one-shouldered and had a long trumpet skirt with diagonal stripes of royal blue and emerald green. One side of the waist was adorned with fruit-like embellishments. Her fascinator with tulle feathers and net mesh upped the ante.

Although both looks featured bleached eyebrows, the diva appeared to have abandoned the dramatic Pat McGrath Labs makeup she used for her first appearance in favor of a more natural look this time. At the end of the night, Zendaya shocked everyone by making a surprise appearance at the foot of the stairs.

This time, she was sporting a stunning black gown from the Givenchy era of John Galliano from 1996. It had a structured peplum hemline, long, puffy off-the-shoulder sleeves, and a corseted, lace-up bodice. The enormous skirt nearly filled the entire length of the Met's staircase.

To make it more bold, she topped it off with a bouquet-themed fascinator wrapped up in black tulle, as designed by Philip Treacy for Alexander McQueen back in 2006.

This year marked Zendaya’s first Met Gala after a long time, and fans are already loving her look. The actor last attended the event in 2019, when she honored the year’s 'Camp: Notes on Fashion' theme in a light-up ball gown designed by Tommy Hilfiger.

The legendary outfit that Cinderella wore in the Disney animated picture from 1950 served as the inspiration for the ensemble. Law Roach even appeared with her, dressed as Cinderella's fairy godmother.
