'She is so boring!' Trump blasts Jessica Tarlov, demanding that she be taken off air
WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump launched a fresh tirade against media figures and conservative commentators while traveling aboard Air Force One, targeting both a Fox News host and former allies in a lengthy Truth Social post on Thursday, April 16.
The remarks came as Trump headed to Las Vegas and Arizona to promote his 'No Tax On Tips' policy, but quickly shifted focus to personal attacks and political grievances. His comments have drawn attention for targeting figures who were once seen as aligned with his political movement.
Tarlov draws Trump’s ire
Trump singled out Jessica Tarlov, a co-host of Fox News’ ‘The Five’, criticizing her appearance, voice, and commentary after watching a segment during his flight.
"I am watching one of the Least Attractive and Talented People on all of Television, Jessica Tarlov," Trump wrote. "Her voice is so grating and terrible, I had to 'turn her off!' Her Democrat soundbites are FAKE. She makes up 'Poll Numbers,' and nobody challenges her, because she is so boring."

The comments followed a heated exchange on the show, where Tarlov debated Trump’s political standing and cited polling data suggesting lower approval ratings.
Trump escalated his criticism by calling for Tarlov’s removal from television while defending his own popularity.
"I have among the best Poll Numbers I have ever had, and why shouldn’t I, ALL THE COUNTRY DOES IS WIN," he added. "CNN had me at 100 per cent, saying they never saw that before. GET HER OFF THE AIR, SHE IS BAD FOR OUR COUNTRY!"
The president’s remarks came shortly after the segment aired, indicating a direct response to the discussion on Fox News.
Former allies under fire
Trump also turned his attention to conservative commentators Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Candace Owens, claiming their influence is declining.
"I hear Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Candace Owens are dying fast. Their numbers are terrible. Nobody believes them anymore. They were FAKE MAGA, and now they’ve been exposed!" he wrote.
The remarks mark a notable escalation in Trump’s rhetoric toward figures who previously supported him, particularly Carlson and Kelly, who have both been influential voices within conservative media.
Criticism over Iran stance
The backlash appears tied in part to recent criticism from these commentators regarding Trump’s stance on Iran. Carlson, who supported Trump during the 2024 campaign, has questioned his recent rhetoric, while Kelly raised concerns about his tone and policy approach on her podcast.
Owens also publicly challenged Trump’s position ahead of a deadline related to the Strait of Hormuz, contrasting it with Iran’s leadership.
Trump addressed the criticism directly in a separate message, writing, “I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years, especially by the fact that they think it is wonderful for Iran, the Number One State Sponsor of Te**or, to have a Nuclear Weapon - Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs.”
He continued his attack with a series of personal insults aimed at the commentators’ credibility and relevance.
“They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!” Trump wrote. “They’ve all been thrown off Television, lost their Shows, and aren’t even invited on TV because nobody cares about them, they’re N*T JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS, and will say anything necessary for some ‘free’ and cheap publicity.”

The president also referenced past controversies involving the commentators, including Owens’ claims about France’s first lady and Alex Jones’ legal battles related to false claims about the Sandy Hook shooting.
Despite the criticism, Trump maintained that his support base remains strong, asserting that “MAGA is about WINNING and STRENGTH” and claiming continued backing from his core voters.
