Kevin Hart sues Tasha K for alleged extortion

As per a report from Page Six, Kevin Hart has made serious allegations against Tasha, claiming that she threatened to release a damaging interview with his former assistant, Miesha Shakes unless he paid a six-figure sum.

The lawsuit, acquired by Page Six, details Tasha's interview with Hart's former assistant in November 2023. During this interview, Shakes reportedly made false and defamatory statements about Hart.

Following the interview, an alleged associate of Tasha reached out to Hart's team, demanding a $250,000 ransom to prevent the release of the damaging content. The threat emphasized the potential harm to Hart's personal and business life.

Page Six states that Tasha posted a teaser for the interview, highlighting its supposedly damaging nature as a threat to Hart if he didn't comply with the ransom demand. The lawsuit points out a specific warning from Tasha in the teaser video at the 2:06 mark, stating, "‘When you don’t pay, we have to get money by any means necessary."

Hart's team reportedly involved the police and sent Tasha a cease and desist letter, underscoring that Shakes had signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement and Confidentiality Agreement during her employment with Hart from 2017 to 2020.

Despite this, on December 22, Tasha allegedly informed Hart that she would be posting the full interview, which later went live on her subscription-based website.

In the interview, Shakes discussed various legal disputes involving Hart and made allegations about his gambling addiction and infidelity.

In response, Hart is pursuing legal action against both Tasha and Shakes for extortion and invasion of privacy. Additionally, he is suing Shakes for breach of contract and defamation, while Tasha is facing charges of intentional interference with contractual relations.

The lawsuit highlights Tasha's history of producing defamatory content about celebrities, referencing her past legal troubles, including a defamation lawsuit by Cardi B that resulted in Tasha paying damages worth $1 million to Cardi in January 2022, as reported by Page Six.
