The GOP presidential nominee suffered an injury to his right ear after 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire while he was speaking at a campaign rally.

Tragically, one of Trump's supporters, Corey Comperatore, was killed while protecting his family, and two others were critically wounded during the assassination attempt. 

 Following the attack, Melania had condemned the shooter, Crooks, in a statement, describing him as a "monster" who saw her husband as an "inhuman political machine."
