Sheryl Lee Ralph clears rumors of moving in with her senator husband Vincent Hughes
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sheryl Lee Ralph is curious about the origin of rumors suggesting that she and her husband Vincent are moving in together.
During a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the Abbot Elementary star expressed her bewilderment, stating, "Vincent and I have been married for almost 19 years, and we've been together for 21 years."
"Abbott is filmed in Los Angeles, and my husband, being a senator, is consistently in his capital [Harrisburg, Penn.], so I'm not sure what magical scenario people envision for us," she added.

Who is Vincent Hughes?
Vincent Hughes, a senator from Philadelphia, has effectively navigated their long-distance marriage. Sheryl Lee Ralph shared with the outlet during Elle's Women in Hollywood event in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 5, "We see each other, on average, every two weeks."
"And everybody who questions that I say, guess what? We're still married!" Sheryl explained.
The couple, who met through mutual friends, got hitched in 2005, after dating for a couple of years.

In an earlier interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, she discussed her marriage, stating, "First of all, after 20 years of keeping this marriage together, you have to spend some time together," she began.
She added, "Vincent is not able to leave the state the way I can leave the state. In fact, in 20 years of our being together, I'm going to say my husband has maybe been in California, maybe, 25 times. That means I'm in Philadelphia every two weeks."

Sheryl on her long-distance marriage
Sheryl also shared how the two settled into their long-distance relationship. “My kids stayed close to their father, but they also had a friend they could talk to and confide in, and that was Vincent,” explained Ralph.
“When we met, I had these young children, and I appreciated that he did not try to insert himself as their father. He had his own children.”
On 'Abbot Elementary's' return after the strike ended, She told ET, "I'm so happy because I work on an outstanding show with outstanding people."
"Quinta [Brunson], Tyler [James Williams], Janelle [James], Lisa [Ann Walter], Chris [Perfetti], Stan, we get to do something special. I mean, the editor of Elle came up to me and she said, 'Abbott Elementary, I watch it with my family together.' That means something."
Sheryl added, "I'm so happy it's ridiculous. If you look up grateful in the dictionary you're gonna see my picture."
"I remember so clearly when I got my first job, cast by Sidney Poitier, in Piece of the Action, and when I wrapped the film he said, 'I am so sorry the industry has nothing to offer you, because you deserve so much more,'" she further said.
