Millie Bobby Brown talks about her love for dogs

The ‘Stranger Things’ star appeared on the talk show where she revealed that she has nine furry friends at this moment and fosters 23 other dogs, per People.

The founder of 'Florence by Mills' shared, "I have a 17-year-old dog whom I rescued from being abandoned on the streets," expressing her sadness at witnessing how dogs are treated in shelters.



 

As a result, Brown mentioned that she often ends up adopting them. The actress remarked, "And so right now I'm at, like, nine dogs."

She further commented, "I rescue many dogs," and went on to say, "I'm currently fostering 23 dogs."

The ‘Enola Holmes’ star recounted that she had to leave her parent’s home when she turned 18 as she wanted to add more animals to her ever-growing motley.

Brown shared, “I live next to my parents,” and explained, “I was living with them, then when I turned 18 I was like, ‘I want another dog.' And they were like, ‘No, you can’t fit any more dogs in your room.’”

“And I was like, ‘Well I want a rabbit and I want farm animals.’ So I moved out and I moved next door,” continued the star.

Drew Barrymore talks about her pets

As the two stars conversed about their pets, Barrymore shared that one of her dogs recently died. 

With her dog Douglas joining the two stars on set, Barrymore shared, "His girlfriend Lucy, who was 11, just passed away last week, and it's been really tough. I know it's such a transition."

The 49-year-old talk show host revealed that her other pets are also grieving the loss of Lucy.

She shared, "Now our cat, Lucky… he never let her in before. She'd always try to cuddle up to him, and he was like 'No no no no.' But now he's like, and I woke up this morning and they were spooning,” Barrymore added. “So it’s like they know.”

Brown concurred and remarked, “Yeah, they do know, and they grieve.”
