LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Seth Meyers took a jab at Donald Trump's lawyer, Alina Habba, for what he described as "embarrassing mistakes" during writer E Jean Carroll's defamation trial against the former POTUS.

The late-night host dissected one particular incident, highlighting the exasperation of District Judge Lewis Kaplan.

Seth Meyers calls Alina Habba a 'PR person' for Donald Trump

Highlighting Habba's role as Trump's lawyer during the trial for defamation against E Jean Carroll, Meyers pointed out that, while Trump was vocal about immunity on social media, his lawyer faced repeated scolding and reprimands from Judge Kaplan.

Talking about press conferences, where the host believes she says "ridiculous stuff," he recalled the time she claimed the ex-POTUS' children were being harassed by the courts.

Meyer chided, calling them "poor, innocent Trump children," adding, "They're being brought in away from their families and their toys. Now they have to... no time to do their homework. When are they going to learn to count to numbers like 40, 42, and 46? Which are their f*****g ages."

He further noted, "She's clearly not a real lawyer so much as a PR person for Trump."

Seth Meyers sympathizes with the judge over Alina Habba's countless slip-ups

Moving on to the defamation trial, Meyers addressed how Judge Kaplan had to keep scolding Habba over her mistakes. He sympathized with the judge, saying, "When you're a judge and a Trump lawyer walks into your courtroom you must know your job got a lot harder."

Drawing a comparison, the host likened the challenges faced by Judge Kaplan to that of a basketball referee confronted by a player wielding a sword.

Meyers recalled Habba's slip-ups, which naturally made the judge furious as the document she tried to present was not a part of the evidence. The most joked that she probably never knew how to introduce evidence.

Subsequently, he mentioned Habba trying to move for a mistrial, which the judge rejected, saying, "Denied, and the jury will disregard everything Miss Habba just said."

The 'Late Night' host didn't hold back, humorously commenting, "Man, that is brutal." He joked, "She's so bad at this that the judge is basically telling the jury, 'Just pretend she's not here.' The judge is talking about her the way you talk to your kids about the weird guy on the subway,"

Meyers even quipped about the judge instructing the jury to wear blindfolds and noise-canceling headphones every time Habba spoke.

Concluding the comedic critique, the host pointed out that the frustration wasn't solely directed at Habba. Judge Kaplan even threatened to kick Trump out of the courtroom for muttering disparaging comments during the trial, leading to a back-and-forth between the two.
