'She’s very mature': Dolph Lundgren, 66, calls younger wife 'smart for her age' amid 39-year difference

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dolph Lundgren has shown only love and praise for his new wife Emma Krokdal as he opened up about his married life.

The ‘Rocky IV’ star wed Emma Krokdal in July 2023 after they started dating in 2019.

At the time of their wedding, a lot of talks regarding their 39-year age difference were happening and Lundgren had reportedly said, “She’s very mature for her age, for sure.”

At the time, he also shared, that Krokdal, 27, “was like an angel that was sent down to help me,” as per PEOPLE.

The filmmaker continued, “I feel like Emma is very mature for her age, for sure. She's had an interesting life. She came over here from a small town in Norway.”

He added at the time, “She was married here and she went through a difficult divorce and went through a lot of stuff that most young people her age don't have to deal with.”

Lundgren also asserted, “So she's quite mature and at the same time, I think I'm quite youthful. But you know, I've been with people that are twice her age [who are] less mature than she is.”

It seems the 66-year-old actor’s love for his trainer wife has not decreased as he told Fox News, “Emma is great. She's wonderful. Great support.”

He mentioned, “She's very clever, and she's very smart for her age or for any age.”

The ‘Creed II’ actor went on to reveal that he and his new wife are “work[ing] together on a bunch of projects.

“She's very clever, and she's very smart for her age or for any age. So we produce stuff together. We have another project. We're working on a comedy.”

Lundgren also stated that his wife was part of the ‘Wanted Man’ film, releasing on January 17, 2024, which he co-produced.

Krokdal disclosed, “She helps me with the script and during the production and post-production. Just giving me a second opinion and double-checking.”

He then insisted, “So it's actually getting married was a good choice. I really enjoy it.”

Lundgren and Krokdal said “I do” to each other in Mykonos, Greece.

At the time, ‘The Expendables’ star shared, “We chose to celebrate our love by getting married at our villa in Mykonos with family and a few close friends. With both Covid and a long road of challenging medical treatments, we’ve had to push our marriage plans many times.”

He concluded, “We felt it was finally the right time to celebrate love, life, and happiness — in the land of the gods.”
