TOLEDO, OHIO: John Mellencamp abruptly ended his performance at a concert in Toledo, Ohio in March after he expressed frustration with the crowd.

A heckler shouted at the singer to "play some music," while he was speaking before his performance. Mellencamp then ranted at the audience. A heated exchange was captured and has gone on social media.

John Mellencamp threatened to cut 10 songs from the set

Fans booed at Mellencamp after his expletive-filled rant at the heckler as he shouted, "What do you think I've been doing you c********r?"

"Here’s the thing, man. You don’t know me. You don’t f*****g know me. Hey Joe, find this guy and let me see him after the show," he shouted.

Mellencamp's frustration further escalated after another concert-goer asked him to perform 'Authority Song'.

"Guys, I can stop this show right now and just go home," the rocker responded.

Before he started to play the beginning of 'Jack & Diane', he threatened the audience saying, "Tell you what I’m going to do. Since you’ve been so wonderful, I’m going to cut about ten songs out of the show. Here we go."

However, he soon stopped his performance as he told the audience, "You know what? Show's over."

John Mellencamp previously shared he's doing 'a teenager's job'

Mellencamp previously shared that he turned 72 and that he is "still doing a teenager's job."

"I’ll be working out today with an iPod and a song will come on and I’ll go, ‘Well, that [expletive] guy’s dead. This guy’s dead. What happened to this guy?’" he joked.

"I do expect etiquette inside of the theater, the same way you would at a Broadway show," Mellencamp continued.

"My shows are not really concerts anymore. They’re performances, and there’s a difference between a performance and a concert," he stated.
