Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens met via online dating app
The footballer revealed that they first interacted in 2020 via dating app Raya. He shared, “[I] had been on the app for a couple days, and then she pops up. I’m like, ‘Lemme see who this is.’ I never really paid attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity [and I was like], ‘I’ll see what’s up.’”
The two connected after swiping right and Owens revealed, “She messaged me on the app, like, ‘Hey,’ and I’m like, ‘That’s gotta be fake.’

Addressing the hate, the 27-year-old now said on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, as reported by People, “First of all, that interview had nothing to do with me.” She continued, “It was all for him. Simone Biles broke down after fans asked her to divorce Jonathan Ownes
About people’s negative comments, Biles mentioned, “I thought it was hilarious what people were saying divorce him, divorce him. All of this crazy stuff. And, like, he doesn't even like to say divorce. "So I thought it was hilarious at first, and then they hurt my feelings,” she said.
“Then, like, one night, I broke down, and I'm like, 'Why are you guys talking about my husband like this?’ That really hurt that they were talking about my husband like that. Because for me, it's like talk about me all you want, but don't come for my family," she added.

Internet says Simone Biles's husband is 'truly underachieving with her'
Meanwhile, the internet did not seem to agree with Biles as a Facebook user commented, "She’s blind because they’re still in honeymoon mode I’m sure. Once it dies down, it will bother her I’m sure. When we’re newly married, we tend to have blinders up and ignore the red flags."
Another user wrote, "Grrrl! Get out, fast or his arrogance and narcissism will begin to show in how he treats you and you'll look back on this day and say, 'Could've, Should've'."
"Nobody knew who he was before her and nobody cares to remember his name even now. So who’s the real catch? He isn’t it! He will always and forever be known as Simone bile's husband," the third user stated.
The fourth one remarked, "Dude is truly underachieving with her."
The fifth one added, "Dump him."
