LONDON, UK: Sinead O’Connor, the celebrated Irish singer-songwriter, left her entire $1.7 million estate to her children, according to probate documents obtained by The US Sun.

After settling debts, funeral expenses, and legal fees, the final amount was reduced to $1.4 million.

Sinead O’Connor bequeathed $1.7 million to her children, Jake Reynolds, Brigidine Roisin Waters, and Yeshua Bonadio. According to Irish probate records, the estate was reduced to $1.4 million after settling her debts, funeral expenses, and legal fees, per Page Six.

In her 2013 will, written before her conversion to Islam, she stated, "My children may handle my ashes however they see fit."

O’Connor also expressed her desire for her music to continue generating income for her family. She instructed that her albums be released posthumously at the discretion of her adult children, stating they should “milk it for what it’s worth.”

Among her personal belongings, O’Connor specified that her youngest son, 18-year-old Yeshua Bonadio, would inherit her guitar collection. She had also intended to pass on her religious items to her son Shane, who tragically died by suicide in 2022.

In her 2013 will, O’Connor made detailed requests for her funeral arrangements. She asked to be dressed in priestly attire in her coffin, accompanied by a Hebrew Bible and her album 'Theology'. She left it to her children to decide the final resting place for her ashes.

John Reynolds, O’Connor’s ex-husband and former collaborator, was named as the executor of her estate. While details of her British assets remain undisclosed, the 'Nothing Compares 2 U' singer’s wishes highlight her desire to leave behind a thoughtful and lasting legacy.

O’Connor died on July 26, 2023, at the age of 56.

The cause of death for legendary musician Sinead O’Connor has been confirmed, shedding light on her untimely passing at the age of 56 on July 26, 2023.

O’Connor, best known for her haunting rendition of 'Nothing Compares 2 U', was found unresponsive in her London home. According to her death certificate, her death was attributed to "exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma, together with a low-grade lower respiratory tract infection."

Her death was registered by her former husband, John Reynolds, in Lambeth, London.
