Six celebrities who have been branded 'nasty'
Apart from their acting skills, celebrities generally make a name for themselves for their wit, humor, or philanthropy. Some of the A-listers get a reputation for being "nasty." Here is a list of celebrities who acquired the nickname for allegedly being "rude" to either their co-stars, staffers, or fans.
Ellen DeGeneres
Of late, the talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has garnered quite a reputation for her allegedly rude nature. One of her former security staffers once said, "Ellen is the one person that I’ve been assigned to – and I’ve been assigned to quite a few celebrities – that has never taken the time to say hi to me…It was very cold and it was very sly and it was actually demeaning in the way that she treats people other than those who are in her circle," per CCN. Comedian Kevin T Porter termed her as "one of the meanest people alive" and asked his online fans to share stories about her in March 2020.
Pierce Brosnan
In a resurfaced video, 'The Late Late Show' host James Corden called Pierce Brosnan "f*****g rude". During the ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts’ segment on the show, when guest Khloe Kardashian asked Corden to name a celebrity who behaved rudely to him in the past, Corden named Brosnan. He said, “I don’t think he’s a rude man, he just happened to be [to me],” and continued to describe a not-so-good encounter with the Irish actor. When Khloe suggested Brosnan was probably "drunk," Corden replied, “Maybe he’s just a bit f*****g rude," per NME.
Tim Allen
Tim Allen has been called "rude" by his 'The Santa Clauses' co-star Casey Wilson who lambasted the 70-year-old actor in her 'Bitch Sesh' podcast. Claiming Allen gave her the "single worst experience she'd ever had with a co-star," the 'Happy Endings' star shared one instance when Allen went to a producer to ask her to stop "stepping on his lines." She further added, "When he was done, he was so f*****g rude. Never made eye contact, never said anything. It was so uncomfortable," per Mirror.
David Schwimmer
David Schwimmer has been termed as "rude" by his 'Celebrity Bake Off' co-star Rose Matafeo. Matafeo shared a clip from the show where Schwimmer allegedly dissed her baking by shaking his head. Prue Leith of the same show further revealed that the 'Friends' actor also "didn't want to talk to anyone" in the show initially, per The Sun. Leith continued, "What I was surprised about, though, was I thought he'd behave like he behaved as Ross, he'd be like he was in Friends, but he was actually very concentrated and didn't want to talk to anybody."
Lea Michele
Lea Michele was called out for her alleged "racism" by her former 'Glee' co-stars Samantha Ware, Dabier Snell and Alex Newell. In the wake of the George Floyd murder and the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, Ware tweeted while slamming Michele, "Remember when you made my first television gig a living hell?!?!" before adding, "Cause I’ll never forget. I believe you told everyone that if you had the opportunity you would ‘s**t in my wig!’ amongst other traumatic microaggressions that made me question a career in Hollywood," per Mirror.
Jamie Foxx
In his memoir, the comedian Tommy Davidson recalled his time with Jamie Foxx in the show 'In Living Color' where he felt affronted by the Oscar-winning actor's behavior. Davidson shared that at the expense of a few laughs, Foxx ripped the comedian's underwear on the set and left him naked during a sketch. Davidson went on to share, “Maybe [Foxx is] a better person now. I would like to believe he is," per Page Six.
