Skai Jackson's domestic battery case dropped, won't face any charges after altercation with boyfriend

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Skai Jackson will not be prosecuted for the alleged altercation with her partner last week. Moreover, her domestic assault case has been abandoned.

The 22-year-old former Disney Channel star was arrested following the incident at Universal Studios CityWalk, but she was freed from detention a few hours later. She has recently shunned fan questions about her arrest. 

Skai Jackson will not be prosecuted due to insufficient evidence 

TMZ revealed on Saturday, August 17, that the actress will not face prosecution after prosecutors determined there was insufficient evidence. Jackson has no criminal history, thus the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office told the source that the matter will not proceed. Her boyfriend, the purported victim, has not been assisting the prosecution and is not injured. 

Skai Jackson notably avoided fan questions about going to jail 

During her TikTok Live on Wednesday, August 14, Skai conspicuously sidestepped fan inquiries regarding her impending jail sentence. This was her first social media appearance since her arrest on charges of domestic assault. While taping the live, the celebrity talked about a variety of subjects, but notably chose to avoid discussing the arrest. 

Jackson discussed a forthcoming television project in a clip posted to X, the former name of Twitter. However, people continued to ask the actress about her arrest in the comments section, according to Daily Mail.

"She's answering every thing except our questions," one social media typed out, while another added, "Girl what happened you and jail?" A fan also asked, "Why were u locked up," while others simply typed out the word "jail" in the comments.

In addition to returning to Instagram on Wednesday, August 14, the Jessie actress has been active on social media since her incarceration. She shared a preview of her 'Hair care/wash day' on her main Instagram profile with a video. But there was no mention of her arrest in the comment section.

Skai Jackson was arrested for domestic battery last week

Jackson was taken into custody last Friday for domestic abuse after a rumored altercation with her partner. Security personnel saw her engaged in a fight, and she was brought into arrest at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California. 

According to reports, Jackson shoved her unidentified partner, and security saw it and detained the duo before calling the police. TMZ was informed by sources that the couple denied having a physical altercation and asserted that they are genuinely engaged and expecting a child together.

After seeing video of the purported fight, officers reportedly made the decision to detain Jackson and her companion. The Disney actress is said to have twice pushed her boyfriend on the security footage. Jackson was cited after being taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault and was later released.

The event was investigated by the LA County District Attorney's Office, but charges were not filed against the former child star right away. Jackson is well renowned for keeping her personal life discreet, therefore it's unclear who her partner is.
