NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Colin Jost aimed at Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr for what he called a "weird move" following an incident in the Oval Office earlier this week when an executive collapsed during the meeting.

The 'Saturday Night Live' host highlighted how RFK Jr's reaction, by quickly leaving the room instead of helping, raised eyebrows and sparked questions about this behavior.

“The craziest part is that during the commotion, RFK Jr just runs away,” Colin Jost said at the start of ‘Weekend Update’ on Saturday, November 8. 

“Watch this,” Jost said, showing a zoomed-in clip of the HHS secretary leaving as the others in the room rushed to help the man. “How suspicious is that? That’s a weird move," the comedian added. 

"Don’t worry, by the way: the man who collapsed is totally OK. You can tell because if there’s something dead on the ground, RFK eats it," Jost further quipped. 

His joke referred to RFK Jr's surprising admission to reporters in August last year that he once kept a freezer full of roadkill. The revelation came soon after he confessed to dumping a bear carcass in New York’s Central Park back in 2014. 

The collapse at the Oval Office



RFK Jr’s reaction to a pharmaceutical executive collapsing in the Oval Office on Thursday by quickly leaving the room has sparked confusion and speculation, with some pundits describing it as him fleeing the scene.

The chaos unfolded when a group of pharmaceutical executives and Trump administration officials were gathered for the president’s announcement that he had reached a deal with major drug companies to slash weight loss drug prices.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump slowly got up from where he was seated and looked on as others helped the man out on the ground. He was seen continuing to stand nearby, watching quietly.

Also addressing the results of the NYC mayoral election, Colin Jost pointed out that Zohran Mamdani was elected mayor despite his opponent, Andrew Cuomo, receiving endorsements from Donald Trump and Eric Adams. “Which is like trying to bring a girl home by saying, ‘Not to brag, but I have hepatitis B and C,’” Jost said.

“Andrew Cuomo spent the last day before the election campaigning around the city in a white Ford Bronco, which is what OJ Simpson used to get away from the police,” co-anchor Michael Che quipped. 

He added, “But at least OJ was ahead in the race for a while.” Che then gave a shoutout to the third-place candidate in the New York City election, joking, “Curtis Sliwa conceded the mayor race on Tuesday in front of the crowd of his most loyal supporters: squirrels!”
