NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Saturday Night Live' didn’t just poke fun at Pam Bondi, it turned her exit into a full-blown comedic collapse, complete with insults, tears, and one very memorable “glass exit door.”

The show’s Sunday, April 5 episode's cold open began like a harmless sports parody, spoofing a March Madness-style studio panel. But in classic SNL fashion, it swerved hard into politics and saved its most savage moment for the final stretch.

Ashley Padilla's Bondi says, 'I miss it already'

Playing Charles Barkley, Kenan Thompson delivered the kind of line that doesn’t just get a laugh, it stings.

“As Attorney General, Pam Bondi was, I don’t say this often, turrible,” he said, dragging out Barkley’s signature delivery.

Then came the kicker: “It is a shame when somebody gets fired. But we should all be glad that dragon lady is gone.”

That line didn’t just land; it set the stage for what followed: Bondi bursting in, furious and desperate to reclaim the narrative.

Enter Ashley Padilla as Bondi- not calm, not composed, but spiraling.

“I’m sorry, Charles, but I can’t let the lies you said about me go unanswered,” she fired back, before immediately pivoting into self-praise.

“The truth is, I was amazing at my job, and I am proud to say I made history as the first woman ever to be fired as Attorney General. I shattered that glass exit door,” she said.

And then SNL yanked the rug out. Within seconds, the bravado cracked.

“[Voice breaking] And I just, I’m so sorry. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.. Oh my God! I miss it already! I miss it already!” she said.

'Like it was the Epstein files!' SNL's punch gets sharper

Just when it seemed like the bit had peaked, SNL twisted the knife.

“And they threw my headshot in the trash like it was the Epstein files! What am I gonna do?!” Padilla’s Bondi said.

That line pulled the sketch out of pure silliness and back into pointed territory reminding viewers exactly why Bondi has been such a controversial figure.

Instead of comforting her, the panel doubled down.

“I’m sure you’re gonna have other opportunities,” one member offered, before another piled on with a brutal visual: “You could work in sports. You already look like a women’s basketball coach who got suspended for pulling on a player’s braid.”

And in perfect comedic timing, Bondi, now fully unhinged, responded with hopeful sincerity: “You think so? That’s so nice.”
