Snoop Dogg celebrates 27 years of marriage with high school sweetheart Shante Broadus

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Snoop Dogg recently celebrated a significant milestone, marking 27 years of marriage with his wife and manager, Shante Broadus.

The 52-year-old rapper shared a heartfelt post on Instagram on Saturday, June 15, to commemorate their anniversary.

As Snoop Dogg shared the carousel of photos, tagging Shante Broadus, he captioned the pictures: "#TwentySeven 💙🔥💎 👏🏿." Shante Broadus shared the same photos with a similar caption on her Instagram.

In the informal pictures shared by the couple, they were dressed in matching pink and white sweatsuits. In both photos, Shante Broadus wore a bright blue cross-body purse, while Snoop Dogg, the star of the Garfield movie, had his arm around her.

The pair went to prom together in 1989 as teenagers, having met at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California. They tied the knot in June 1997 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Rey, California.

Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus have three children together: sons Corde, 29, and Cordell, 27, and daughter Cori, 24. The 'Drop It Like It's Hot' performer also has a son named Julian, 25, with Laurie Helmond.

Shante Broadus and the 'Training Day' star became grandparents when their son Corde welcomed his children, sons Zion and Leo, and daughter Elleven.

Snoop and Broadus had a brief split in 2004

Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus briefly split in 2004 but renewed their vows in 2008. In 2007, the rapper told People about their reconciliation, "I thought I was the man, and I was willing to give up what I had at home for that until I realized that what I had at home was irreplaceable."

Later, in an interview with Today, the 'Young, Wild & Free' rapper shared why their marriage has stood the test of time: “I think because we were both young and we were both willing to sacrifice for each other."

He continued, "She knew what my dreams and goals was, and at the same time, I knew what hers were."

"When you truly love somebody, there ain't nothing you can do to break that up, and I feel like that was true love at first sight," he added.
