WASHINGTON, DC: Ivanka Trump finds herself in hot water yet again after photos emerged of the former First Daughter beaming alongside her husband Jared Kushner on an overseas ski trip.

The glitzy getaway comes despite Ivanka petitioning just months earlier to delay testimony in her family’s fraud trial due to the supposed hardship of navigating her children’s school schedule, as reported by CNBC.

Ivanka Trump claimed 'undue hardship' in appearing for fraud trial in New York

In November of 2023, Ivanka requested postponing her court testimony, arguing that it would be "undue hardship" to appear "in the middle of a school week" given her three kids back in Florida.

Her lawyer's appeal stating "Ms Trump will suffer undue hardship if a stay is denied" was firmly rejected. The recent viral image of Ivanka and her husband Jared posing on a ski trip fueled further skepticism.

Ron Filipkowski of left-wing news website Meidas Touch posted the photo on X along with the caption: "I can definitely understand why Ivanka doesn’t have enough time to appear in court with her work schedule." His quip referenced Ivanka's initial excuses about her packed schedule.

Many now see her hardship pleas as hypocritical special pleading in light of her ability to travel for leisure. The judges ultimately denied her stay request, unmoved by claims that the trial timeline was too burdensome for a busy mom.

Internet unleashes mockery upon spotting Ivanka Trump's skiing trip snapshot

The internet wasted no time in unleashing a barrage of criticism and mockery upon spotting Ivanka's skiing trip snapshot with her husband. One user on X quipped, "Also, being in Daddy's Administration paid off!" while another sarcastically suggested, "Maybe her kids' school had a field trip to Switzerland, and she had to chaperone."

A third user added fuel to the fire, exclaiming, "But 'the children'!!!!" Meanwhile, someone else chimed in, dripping with sarcasm, "So worried about Ivanka’s children who can’t be left on a school day."

Another user humorously remarked, "It's so hard to find reliable child care on the slopes." And a sixth user wryly noted, "Well she has to use the ski slopes to get her kids to school on time."

Ivanka Trump claimed ignorance when questioned about father's net worth and assets

On November 8, 2023, Ivanka became the fourth Trump family member to testify in the civil fraud case prosecuted by the New York AG. She faced five hours of intensive questioning regarding her father's net worth and assets and the loans he acquired through financial statements, according to New York Times.

While some evidence indicates Ivanka directly reviewed these financial documents central to allegations of inflated valuations, she denied close oversight. "I would assume he would have personal financial statements," she stated, adding "Those weren’t things that I was privy to."

The ongoing lawsuit stems from accusations that the former president and Trump Organization falsely inflated his wealth. Initially named as a defendant alongside her father and brothers, an appeals court dismissed the charges against Ivanka. In contrast to her father's combative and blustering testimony, Ivanka came across as well-spoken and refined.
