The 20-year-old actress, renowned for her portrayal of Eleven in Netflix's 'Stranger Things', is also the founder of Florence by Mills, a makeup company.

In her post, Brown, who is engaged to American model Jake Bongiovi, shared a picture of herself in a car without makeup, with her hair pulled back, revealing red patches and blemishes on her face and cheeks.

Brown wrote: "My journey with acne is something very personal to me. we all deserve to feel confident & comfortable in our own skin & I hope by sharing my experience, you feel inspired to embrace your skin & love it no matter what stage it’s in!" alongside the image. 

During an Instagram Stories session, Brown engaged in a Q&A with her fans, addressing various skincare and makeup queries.

When asked how she maintains confidence during breakouts, she responded by emphasizing the transient nature of breakouts and the importance of self-love and acceptance at all stages of skin health.

Another asked: “Any advice for those who feel insecure because of acne?”

The star replied: “Remember to be kind to yourself and know what your breakouts do not define you. Breakouts are something that you do not need to be ashamed of. I prefer makeup-free days when my skin struggles and try to keep my routine simple and easy."

She also shared her preferred method for eliminating blackheads, recommending, "Lately, my go-to trick is using our pore power to you deep cleansing pore strips. I like that each set includes strips for both the chin and nose and they are super gentle when helping to remove any blackheads."
