‘Something Borrowed’ star Colin Egglesfield reveals third cancer diagnosis with positive Insta post

PHOENIX, ARIZONA: Colin Egglesfield has shared that he’s again been diagnosed with cancer for the third time.

The ‘Something Borrowed’ star revealed about his prostate cancer diagnosis on his Instagram page as he stood in front of City of Hope Cancer Center Phoenix in the first photo. He also requested others to get their checkups done regularly, as reported by TODAY.com.

Taking to the social media platform on January 20, Egglesfield wrote, “The beginning to this year hasn’t been the easiest, but in the spirit of what I said in my interview, this is another opportunity to decide who I choose to be in the face of uncertainty and challenges in my most recent cancer diagnosis,” referring to an interview he did at 25.

Colin Egglesfield went for surgery after being diagnosed

He continued that he’s grateful that his cancer was detected early “and after a year of doing a lot of research and talking to quite a few health care professionals, I elected to be proactive and have surgery.”

In his post, the 51-year-old actor also shared photos of his scars as he mentioned, “I’m so grateful for the amazing support and care I’ve received over the past few months from @cityofhopephx, Dr Gellhaus and all the nurses, other doctors, and staff that have been instrumental in supporting me through this scary time.”

Acknowledging his fans and followers, Egglesfield stated that “this is a reminder to everyone that you’re not alone with whatever you’re facing and that it’s important to advocate for yourself and your health.”

Colin Egglesfield is ‘determined to come back stronger’

The ‘Something Borrowed’ actor then went on to note that he’s “making progress and am determined to come back stronger and healthier than ever, especially with the help of my sexy walker.”

Concluding his post, Egglesfield added, “And fellas, be sure to get your PSA checked regularly. It saved my life! Thank you again for all your support! Xo 🫶.”

Colin Egglesfield was previously diagnosed with testicular cancer

Colin Egglesfield first got cancer in 2006. It was testicular cancer, which returned a year later.

In 2019, told Jejune Magazine, “It was the most uncertain, unsettling and scary time in my life. I was diagnosed at 33, had surgery, radiation treatment then subsequent checkups every three months for a year, at which point they found another tumor, which required another surgery.”
