Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas' friends fear their rebound romances might spark disagreements during divorce settlement

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have both moved on after ending their marriage in September 2023.

While the 'Game of Thrones' star is seeing British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, the singer is seemingly dating model Stormi Bree.

While Turner and Joe's prenup helped settle most of the conflicts, the former couple have not formally agreed on the custody of their daughters, Willa and Delphine. Meanwhile, their friends fear that Turner and Joe's rebound relationships can strain the custody dealing, as per RadarOnline.

"They are sharing custody informally now but still have to reach a final, legal arrangement," claimed a close source.  Another friend said, "Getting remarried can be used as a trigger for changing a custody agreement, and they're both well aware of it. Whoever remarries first could hold the upper hand — and spark a whole new war."

As news of Turner's new relationship came to light, a few media outlets claimed that Joe was unhappy over her moving on so quickly after their split. However, his rep rejected such claims, saying, "It's completely not true," as reported by RadarOnline. 

In a September 2023 statement, the couple announced their split publicly on social media. It read, "After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage." 

"There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children," added the note shared on their respective Instagram accounts. 

In his divorce filing, Joe asked for joint custody of their two children, who have been apparently primarily residing with him.

Earlier, an insider said, "Things are far from settled between Joe and Sophie Joe believes Sophie wants the kids with her in England for long spells so she can pursue her romance, and he wants an arrangement where his daughters will be in the US."

Joe has been recently touring Australia with his band, Jonas Brothers, accompanied by her girlfriend Bree. The couple even shared videos of their boat ride via Instagram Stories.

He took selfies with his elder brother Kevin Jonas and a group of their friends on the boat. His younger brother, Nick Jonas, was also present on the boat.
