Spencer Pratt reveals private meeting with Trump to 'save Hollywood', then raves about chowder

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Spencer Pratt says he is working directly with President Donald Trump on a plan to revive Hollywood, including a proposed 25% federal film tax credit aimed at bringing more movie and television production back to the US.

Pratt, on Friday, August 7, shared details of a private meeting with Trump on X, praising the president’s interest in the entertainment industry.

Then, after discussing Hollywood’s future, the reality star had another revelation: he had just eaten the best clam chowder of his life.

Pratt posted a photo from the private meeting and said he was grateful for the president’s attention to an industry he believes has been steadily losing production to other countries.

“Working with the President on a 25% FEDERAL film tax credit to bring back Hollywood,” Pratt wrote.

He argued that California was watching production jobs move overseas, specifically pointing to Hungary and other international filming destinations.

Pratt also took aim at California Gov Gavin Newsom’s administration, accusing officials of allowing production work to leave the state while saying Trump and his allies are trying to bring the industry back.

“The adults in the room are actually trying to repatriate the most quintessential American industry,” Pratt wrote.

The reality television personality said he was committed to the effort and credited Trump with taking the issue seriously.

“I’m committed to saving Hollywood, and I’m very grateful for the President’s remarkable generosity and focus on this issue,” Pratt said.

According to Pratt, Trump is particularly interested in reversing the flight of American entertainment production to countries such as Canada, the UK, and Hungary.

And then came the abrupt change of subject. 

After laying out his case for bringing Hollywood production home, Pratt appeared to switch the topic to the considerably more immediate question of lunch.

“Speaking of lunch…best clam chowder I ever had,” he wrote.

Pratt said the conversation with Trump covered other subjects as well, describing the meeting as a lengthy and significant discussion.

“I’m humbled and grateful for all the time and discussion from the President,” he wrote.

He also insisted that California should not be written off despite the challenges facing its entertainment industry.

“Unlike many other cynical doomers out there, he refuses to write off California,” Pratt said. “We are only getting started.”

He also shared a video of the president arriving at a golf course after traveling from Los Angeles aboard Marine One, simply captioning the footage, “Power.”
