Zachary Quinto banned from restaurant for behaving like an 'entitled child'

In the lengthy tirade, Toronto restaurant Manita referred to Zachary Quinto, 47, as "an amazing Spock, but a terrible customer".

The post read: "Yelled at our staff like an entitled child after he didn’t reply to two texts to inform him his table was ready and refused to believe the empty tables in the dining room weren’t available for him despite being politely informed they were spoken for."

"Made our host cry and the rest of our brunch diners uncomfortable," they added.

The remark, which was posted on the restaurant's Instagram account, said, "Mr Quinto, take your bad vibes somewhere else, we have many lovely celebrities join us at Manita, but you are NOT one of them."

Quinto's Instagram account was also tagged by the eatery.

On Monday, June 3, the Toronto-based eatery reiterated their initial remarks and posted a follow-up on social media.

"This isn’t the first time, nor will it be the last time an irate guest has taken their frustrations out on our staff," the post read in caption.

They added: "Manita is deeply grateful for our mostly incredible, friendly, gracious guests … who may give us constructive feedback from time to time."

"To all the other Zachary Quintos out there, on behalf of restaurant workers everywhere: We aren’t above criticism, but we are above being demeaned," the post concluded.

Quinto has not responded to the restaurant's criticism.

The Pennsylvania native posted a video of a "Happy Birthday" banner on a wall to kick off his Instagram Stories celebration of his birthday.

The actor began by sharing a picture of Canada's Wonderland theme park's entrance. "Thank you for such an incredible birthday adventure!!!" he wrote on his Instagram Stories.

Moreover, Quinto shared a picture of himself with a birthday cake and a candle at a restaurant, per Fox News.

Zachary Quinto slammed for alleged rude behavior

Social media users took to the comment section of the post made by Manita restaurant to equally criticize the 'Star Trek' actor as one wrote, "Leading with an amazing spock is an incredible dig because nobody would recognize him from anything else he’s done."

A second one remarked in part, "Finally, a company standing up for their staff."

"Just because someone is “famous” or a “celebrity” doesn’t mean they get to treat people disrespectfully. It costs nothing to be kind and courteous. We are all just trying our best!" exclaimed another one.

One added, "Good for you, being a 'celebrity' shouldn't strip you of your basic manners and how to treat other human beings."

Others took to X (formerly Twitter) to mock the actor as one wrote, "Looks like Zachary Quinto's method acting skills are on point! Maybe he's just prepping for his next role as a demanding toddler in 'Terrible Twos: The Movie'."

Another noted, "When the first time your name is in the press in years and it's for yelling at wait staff, not a great sign for an actor."

"Congratulations to the Toronto Restaurant for their strong action," chimed in another.
