According to WWD, Cardi collaborated with Chinese designer Windowsen to create a one-of-a-kind gown that took two months to complete. The garment completely occupied the arrivals carpet, setting off an incredible spectacle.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper came surrounded by a large group of people, including her longtime stylist Kollin Carter, and at least nine men who assisted with carrying her black gown and arranging its train of tulle for the photographers, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The huge skirt trailed several feet around Cardi on all sides.

It appeared as though no other stars could pass till she reached the top of the steps because the unfurled skirt was so enormous.

Cardi had to carefully climb the steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, requiring her battalion of aides to stay behind to hold the massive skirt upright.

With her billowing black dress surrounding her on the carpet, Cardi was giving off major Ursula from 'The Little Mermaid' vibes.

She also wore the most gorgeous green gems to complement the backdrop of the carpet and a similar beehive-style headdress to heighten her appearance.

The 'I like it' rapper aced the 'Garden of Time' dress code with a diamond necklace featuring a 141-carat Colombian emerald by the Indian jewelry house Kamyen.

This centerpiece was delightfully complimented by her dazzling earrings, which had two emeralds and diamonds with a cascade of white and yellow mini-briolette cut diamonds.

She accessorized her hands with large emerald rings and a bangle bracelet on her wrist, with more emeralds and diamonds.

It was her fifth time attending the largest night in fashion, with the dress code for the occasion being 'The Garden of Time.'
