Connie Boss Alexander doesn't believe Stephen 'tWitch' Boss had 'that type of issue'
However, Connie Boss Alexander believes the portrayal of her son raises unnecessary questions about his legacy.
In a preview clip of her interview with CBS released Monday, February 10, Alexander addressed Holker’s claims about Stephen 'tWitch' Boss.
“I’m not saying that my son was perfect,” Alexander, 60, said in the interview.
“I do believe he had experiences where he tried this, that or the other. But no, I don’t believe that there was that type of issue, that type of problem," she added.

Before Holker released her book, she spoke about Boss' death in an interview with People last month.
She revealed that after his death in December 2022 at age 40, she found a "cornucopia" of drugs, including mushrooms, pills, and other substances.
"It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed," she said at the time.
However, an autopsy and police report obtained by Us Weekly stated that no drugs or alcohol were found in Boss’ system at the time of his death.
Connie Boss Alexander says Alison Holker is 'denigrating' Stephen 'tWitch' Boss' memory
While acknowledging the importance of mental health awareness, Connie Boss Alexander shared her concerns about how Holker’s memoir presents her son’s story.
“I applaud speaking about mental health awareness because of course there was something going on there at the end that we were not aware of,” Alexander said while speaking with Gayle King.
She added, “I applaud that. If that was the intent of the book to make people aware, look out for these types of signs, there’s a way to say that in general without denigrating the memory and the legacy that he built and that’s there for his children.”
According to Alexander, the book’s revelations have left lingering doubts about her son’s name. “There’s now this question in the air when his name comes up and that bothers me,” she shared.
Allison Holker says she's celebrating love and life 'I shared with Stephen'
Following the backlash from Connie Boss Alexander's family and friends, Allison Holker clarified her reasons for writing the memoir and its intended message.
“I want to be clear that my only intention in writing the book is to share my own story as well as part of my life with Stephen,” Holker shared via her Instagram Story in January.

“Just like you, I never really knew what happened and even as I am trying to put the pieces together, I will never really know," she added.
She wrote, "If you decide to read the book, hopefully, you’ll see my intention is to celebrate the love and life I shared with Stephen and our three beautiful children and also the more complex aspects of both of our lives.”
Holker also confirmed that proceeds from 'This Far' will support Move With Kindness, a mental health foundation established in Boss' honor.
In response to Alexander’s interview, which will air in full on Tuesday, February 11, Holker released a statement to CBS News.
“Connie has and will continue to be a positive and loving figure in Maddox and Zaia’s lives. From grandparents’ day at school to family lunches, ice cream dates and [Stephen’s brother] Cameron’s video game meet-ups with Maddox, we hope to continue these traditions over the years and work together to keep Stephen’s memory alive,” she shared, as per E! News.
