Sting opened up about his recent health struggles following a string of canceled performances.

Addressing fans on Instagram, the 'Desert Rose' hitmaker disclosed that a "temporary throat infection" was the cause of his recent absence.

Reassuring his followers, Sting wrote, “Thanks so much for all the well wishes. I am steadily improving from a temporary throat infection which has prevented me from singing, though I’m looking forward to resuming my performances and rescheduled shows soon. Love, Sting.”

The cancellations were made "on advisement" from his doctor, with Sting expressing his heartfelt apologies to fans for the inconvenience.

Despite the setback, the iconic musician assured fans that his recovery is underway and that he is eager to return to the stage.

Sting, frontman of 'The Police' and a prolific solo artist, remains one of the most influential figures in the music industry.

Reflecting on his evolving legacy, Sting once said, "I have no idea, but when somebody wants to interpolate or whatever it’s called, I never object because I always learn something about the song that I hadn’t known or anticipated, and I get paid, so why not? It keeps them current."
