MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Melania Trump’s absence during Donald Trump’s criminal hush money trial has sparked discussion, with 'The View' host Sara Haines offering a unique perspective.

Haines does not believe Melania's absence is due to anger over her husband’s affair. Instead, she suggests that Melania might be more concerned about Trump being "sloppy" in handling the situation.

Melania's reaction to Trump's affair under 'The View' scanner

During the 'Hot Topics' segment, the hosts debated whether Melania should testify in the trial, with most leaning toward her not doing so.

Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin expressed concerns that Melania’s testimony could backfire for the prosecution.

Hostin pointed out that if Melania were to downplay the affair on the stand, it might undermine the prosecution’s case, as the juror might think, "If she doesn’t care, why should I?”

Haines added her belief that Melania isn't emotionally invested in the affair at all.

“I don’t think Melania is upset because he meandered, regardless of when she was pregnant or not,” Haines said.

She added, “She knew what she was signing up for. In fact, a lot of people, high-income people, celebrities … sign deals about what their marriage is and what it isn’t, what they’re allowed to do.”

Haines further stated her belief that Melania was fully aware of her husband’s extramarital affairs.

“She absolutely knew,” Haines emphasized. “The part she’s upset about is that it went public. So it went public, he chose a porn star and then had Michael Cohen be his big fixer. It was like, sloppy, sloppy and more sloppy. So I think she’s embarrassed by the smear of everyone getting it and not being upset herself. She’s not a scorned woman.”

This isn’t the first time Haines has raised doubts about Melania’s loyalty to Donald. Last year, she suggested that Melania might be financially incentivized to remain married to him.

'The View' commentary angers Internet

Social media buzzed with reactions to the hosts' statements, with users expressing a disregard for their opinions.

A viewer noted, "Obsessed is what you are!!!You do know there are so many other highly important stories going on in our country?"

Another write, "Leftism is a scourge and a cult. The view is ridiculous."

"Why are you so hateful?" asked a third.

"Not one of these lying hypocrites knows anything about the relationship between Don & Melania. They protected Crooked Hilary after she was cheated on for many years by Bill Clinton that’s been proven," said someone else.

Another viewer alleged, "The View, which covers every tiny little detail about Trump when it looks bad for him, completely ignores this happening in their own city. Is it any wonder this program is a fraud that needs to be taken off the air? #CancelTheView."

Someone else said, "This is going on in the city where The View is made. It's being completely ignored for political reasons. The same women who scream about January 6 protesters say NOTHING about this. The View is woke propaganda trash that should be canceled. #CancelTheView".

"Hey Sunny, stop whining about your fears about 1 possible MAGA supporter getting onto the jury in that kangaroo court case when Trump overall can't get a fair trial in a blue state like NY! HELLO, anyone home?" read one comment.
