LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kid Rock, during an interview on Fox News on Saturday, October 11, shared his blunt opinion about the situation in Chicago.

The musician, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, didn’t mince words as he criticized Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and other Democrats for opposing President Donald Trump over the city’s issues.

Calling out Trump’s opponents, Rock said, “Idiots. The first thing that comes to my mind is idiots. Straight up idiots.”

He went on to say that even if Trump “saved one of these people’s mothers from a burning building,” his detractors would still find a reason to blame him.

Kid Rock blasts Democrats over Chicago violence debate

The discussion focused on Donald Trump’s move to send the National Guard troops to Chicago in response to alleged rising crime rates.

When asked about politicians like Pritzker dismissing concerns about violence in Chicago, Rock called them "idiots."

He continued, "I mean, I don’t think there’s actually anything that President Trump could do that these people… you know, in that speech that he had… it was like a State of the Union or something where he’s like he could save one of these people’s mother from a burning building, and they could care less. They wouldn’t give him credit."

Rock argued, "I mean, it’s asinine to think that we can’t come together on some... certain things. And you know what really strikes me, speaking of Chicago, who’s he really trying to help out here? Black people, the south side of Chicago, predominantly Black.”

“These are where these murders and shootings are taking place — the majority of them,” Rock added. “They’re not out in the suburbs or somewhere, and he wants to help these people and God forbid we’re still all, you know, N**i, r**ist or whatever their narrative of the day is. It’s asinine, it’s completely just it’s some words that I’d rather not repeat on the air right now.”

Trump announced National Guard deployment to Chicago to clean up city

President Donald Trump, on September 3, announced that he wanted to deploy the National Guard to Chicago to address the city’s growing gun violence problem. He called Chicago a "hellhole."

“We’re going in,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, also suggesting that Baltimore could be the next city to receive similar action.

He said, "Look, I have an obligation. This isn't a political thing. I have an obligation."

"We're not going to war. We're going to clean up our cities," Trump told reporters. "We're going to clean them up so they don't kill five people every weekend. That's not war, that's common sense."

JB Pritzker mocks Trump's attempt to paint Chicago as a 'hellhole'

During his recent appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', Illinois Governor JB Pritzker took a lighthearted yet pointed jab at Donald Trump, mocking his repeated claim that Chicago is a “hellhole.”

In a comedic sketch filmed on the Madison Street Bridge, Pritzker dressed as a war correspondent “reporting from war-torn Chicago,” playfully exaggerating the city’s situation to highlight how absurd he found Trump’s remarks.

He joked, “The Milwaukee Brewers have come in to attack our Chicago Cubs,” and added that locals are “being forced to eat hot dogs with ketchup” and that the city’s “deep dish pizza has gone shallow.”

Ending the segment on a patriotic note, Pritzker said, “There is no hellscape I’d rather be in.”

The governor has repeatedly made it clear that he firmly opposes Trump’s plan to send federal troops into Chicago.
