SEATTLE, UNITED STATES: Former NFL star and Fox Sports' 'Undisputed' co-host, Richard Sherman, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Seattle.

Sherman, known for his tenure with the Seattle Seahawks, was booked into King County Correctional Facility at 4.48 am on Saturday, February 24, according to jail records.

Former NFL star Richard Sherman was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence, as reported by the Washington State Patrol.

Trooper Jordan Hazzard-Thomas, involved in the traffic stop, noted in a probable cause statement that Sherman exhibited signs of intoxication, including the odor of alcohol and bloodshot, watery eyes.

Efforts to obtain comments on Sherman’s arrest from his representative and past attorney were made, though responses were not received.

The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office stated that Sherman was scheduled for a court hearing on Monday, February 26.

Sherman, renowned as a three-time All-Pro cornerback, enjoyed an illustrious 11-year career in the NFL. Notably, he played a pivotal role in leading the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory in the 2013 season.

Recognized as one of the premier defensive players of his era, Sherman was honored with a place on the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s All-Decade Team for the 2010s.

Throughout his career, Sherman played for the Seattle Seahawks, the San Francisco 49ers, and briefly for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He began his football journey at Stanford University.

In addition to his on-field achievements, Sherman ventured into football analysis in recent years.

This recent arrest comes after Sherman pleaded guilty in 2022 to two misdemeanor charges related to a previous incident involving drunken driving and domestic disturbance in Seattle. He also admitted to a criminal infraction of speeding in a roadway construction zone.
