SNEEDVILLE, TENNESSEE: Country music superstar Morgan Wallen has sparked controversy with his announcement of a 2025 tour and a new forthcoming album titled 'I’m The Problem'—a phrase that has been closely associated with Taylor Swift since the release of her hit song 'Anti-Hero'.

While Wallen’s new project has generated plenty of excitement, it has also ignited a fierce backlash from Swift’s fanbase, known as Swifties.

The song explores a tumultuous relationship where Wallen’s character admits fault, singing:

“I guess I’m the problem,

And you’re miss never do no wrong,

If I’m so awful, then why’d you stick around this long?

And if it’s the whiskey, then why you keep on pullin’ it off the shelf?

You hate that when you look at me, you halfway see yourself,

And it got me thinking,

If I’m the problem, then you might be the reason.”

Wallen is scheduled to perform on June 20 and 21 at NRG Stadium. In collaboration with ASM Global, a venue management and services company, RodeoHouston will assist in promoting the concert.

Houston Chronicle reported Rodeo organizers released a statement saying, "This concert extends beyond the Rodeo's signature 20-day spring event, bringing more country music entertainment to Houston. To be clear, this is a separate event from the Rodeo and will not include any related events, vendors or activities."

Critics slam Morgan Wallen’s 'I’m the Problem' tour name

As Morgan Wallen unveiled the 'I’m the Problem' tour in support of his fourth studio album of the same name, he garnered mixed reactions online.

One Taylor Swift fan wrote, "It’s so odd that Wallen names a tour after a MEGA HIT by Taylor Swift (Anti-Hero). “It’s me. Hi. I’M THE PROBLEM. It’s me.” It won every award on earth for a song and video. Lazy, lazy Wallen."

"“I’m the Problem” tour? And Taylor Swift isn’t involved? Wild!" said another individual.

A commentator mocked Wallen, "I’d say his behavior kinda justifies “I’m the problem”."

"The “i’m the problem tour”??" a fan of Swift wrote sharing her video.

On the other hand, Swift's critics have criticized her fans, calling them "cry babies" over the backlash.

A person said, "Oh FFS. They are the biggest crybabies I’ve ever seen "

Someone else chimed in, "The best part is that it makes the Swifties mad."

A comment read, "This whole swifty thing is so ridiculous. They’re just looking for something to complain about. Get over it. Taylor doesn’t own the phase “I’m The Problem “."
