'That girl has heart': Taylor Swift hailed for donating $1M to Tennessee residents affected by tornadoes
TENNESSEE: Taylor Swift, 33, was lauded by her fans for her generous donation of $1 million to support Tennessee residents impacted by the recent devastating tornadoes.
Swift's contribution was directed toward the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, as reported by USA Today on Monday, December 11, 2023.
This generous act comes after the havoc wreaked by an estimated 13 tornadoes across various counties in the state over the weekend.
Swift's fans, also known as Swifties, recently hailed the pop star for attending Ramy Youssef's show held to raise funds for Gaza.

Hal Cato, the CEO of the community foundation, confirmed the Grammy-winning artist's donation to the organization, a cause she has supported previously.
The pop icon, who was just named Time magazine's Person of the Year, has a history of contributing to this organization.
Her contribution will aid the affected individuals by providing financial support, food, temporary accommodation, assistance with debris removal, and shelter for animals.
Over the past weekend, CNN reported a tragic event where at least six people lost their lives and over 50 were injured due to the catastrophic tornadoes.
The storm caused power outages and structural damage to buildings, affecting more than 35,000 Tennessee residents.
Swift, originally from Pennsylvania, had previously donated to the same organization in March 2020 when tornadoes had similarly impacted the state she now calls home.
She had shared a post on her Instagram Story at that time, encouraging others to contribute as well.
"Nashville is my home and the fact that so many people have lost their homes and so much more in Middle Tennessee is devastating to me," she stated.
Swift, who attended Hendersonville High School in Sumner County as a teenager, primarily spends her time on the East Coast but still resides in Nashville and maintains her offices there.
