Taylor Swift announced Eras Tour during appearance on ‘Good Morning America’

During a promotional visit at ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ for her then-recently released ‘Midnights’ album in October 2022, the 14-time Grammy-winning singer hinted at her upcoming tour.

However, later when she appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ on November 1, the ‘Cruel Summer’ singer announced her ‘The Eras Tour’, which has now become a global phenomenon.

"Good Morning America, it's Taylor," Swift said, before adding, "I wanted to tell you something that I've been so excited about for a really long time and I've been planning for ages, and I finally get to tell you I'm going back on tour.”

She explained, “The tour is called the 'Eras' tour, and it's a journey through all of my musical eras of my career."

"It starts in US stadiums and we will be releasing international dates as soon as we can," shared the pop star before adding, "And I have some brilliant opening acts coming along with me. And really, I'm just so excited that I get to look you guys in the eye and say thank you for everything."

As promised, the pop star embarked on her tour on March 17, 2023, with her first stop in Glendale, Arizona. Since then she has performed in more than a hundred shows.

Unless Swift adds more dates, she is set to conclude her 149-dates-long tour on December 8, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada. The concert consists of a set list of 44 songs along with surprise additions and runs for a little more than three hours.

Swift recently announced during her Indianapolis concert that the city would indeed be the last stop of her second leg of the US tour.

"What an absolute thrill it is to get to say these words to you tonight, Indianapolis, Indiana. Welcome to the Eras Tour," Swift addressed the 69,000 fans present inside the stadium during a recent performance, per USA Today.

She added, "We decided we have got to end this tour in front of the most dedicated, passionate, beautiful, enthusiastic, excitable crowd," before continuing, "So we decided that the very last U.S. city of the Eras Tour would be right here in Indianapolis, Indiana. And I can already tell we made the best decision possible.”
