Swift's admirers have forewarned Alwyn following the release of her tracklist for 'The Tortured Poets Department', which includes hits like 'So Long London' and 'I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.'

Taylor Swift admitted songwriting gets her through life

Fans are certain that Swift's new project 'The Tortured Poets Department' will be Joe Alwyn's breakup album because the project's title is similar to Joe Alwyn's famous group chat, 'Tortured Men Club'.

Swift said she was "reminded" of "why songwriting is something that actually gets me through my life" as she composed the much-awaited track list of songs for her 11th studio album while sitting at her piano on stage inside the packed venue in Melbourne.

"I've never had an album that I needed songwriting more than I needed it on 'Tortured Poets'," the 34-year-old admitted, speaking to the audience about the "brand new album," which she revealed was two years in the creation during this month's 2024 Grammy Awards, per OK! Magazine.

Swifties were convinced by 'The Tortured Poets Department's timing that the song's lyrics would allude to the singer's breakup with Alwyn, which transpired in April 2023 following a six-year relationship.

Swift then showed the audience an "alternate cover" of 'The Tortured Poets Department' "that nobody [had] seen" before it flickered on the screen behind her.

The 14-time Grammy winner then performed 'You're Losing Me,' one of her surprise songs of the evening, which enthralled the crowd because it is widely assumed that the song is about the fallout of her and Alwyn's relationship.

After the 'Bad Blood' singer dropped the 17 song titles for the highly anticipated project slated to debut on April 19, Swifties took aim at the 32-year-old British actor, believing it would be "shady" for the popstar to diss him.

Social media users were quick to criticize Alwyn after seeing recordings of Swift's speech and performance go viral. They had further proof that the reasons for the Swift-Alwyn breakup might be revealed in April.

One fan summarized on X (formerly Twitter), "SHE PLAYED "YOU'RE LOSING ME" AND ANNOUNCED A NEW TTPD BONUS TRACK AND ITS CALLED 'THE BOLTER' BOLTER IS SOMEONE WHO RUNS AWAY THIS ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOW Joe Alwyn be careful out there."

A second one wrote, "#TaylorSwift playing you’re losing me after confirming that the tortured poets department was a life line for her and she had to make the album to heal… oh joe ur done for #MelbourneTSTheErasTour."

"Taylor saying this was an album she needed to make and then singing you’re losing me… Joe alwyn I hope you never know peace," warned a third fan.

Another one shared a meme featuring images of Swift's ex-boyfriends, Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, and John Mayer, with the grim reaper knocking on doors and wrote: "SO LONG LONDON?? I LOVE YOU ITS RUINING MY LIFE?? Joe Alwyn count your days #THETORTUEDPOETSDEPARTMENT."

"Every song title from The Tortured Poets Department is bad for Joe Alwyn," chimed in another one.
