NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sydney Sweeney hosted 'Saturday Night Live' for the first time on March 2, and she not only poked fun at herself but also cleared the air about her dating life.

"I am so happy to be here! My name is Sydney Sweeney. You might have seen me in 'Anyone But You' or 'Euphoria'. You definitely did not see me in 'Madame Web'," said the actress during the introduction, as per ET Online.

During her monologue, Sweeney further remarked, "Tonight, I'm excited for everyone to get to know the real me. I feel like people only see me as the girl on TV who screams, cries, and has sex - sometimes it's all three at the same time. But I'm more than that," roasting the characters she is known for playing in films and TV shows.

'The Voyeurs' star then went on to address rumors about her dating life, saying, "The craziest rumor I've is that while I was filming 'Anyone But You', I was having an affair with my co-star, Glen Powell."

"That's obviously not true. Me and my fiance (Jonathan Davino) produced the movie together, and he was there the entire shoot," asserted Sweeney.

"And I just want to let everyone know that he's the man of my dreams, and we're still together and stronger than ever. He even came here tonight to support me. Can we cut to him?" said the actress, trying to give her partner a shout-out.

But the cameras showed Powell sitting with the audience, leading to Sweeney declaring, "That's not my fiance! He's in my dressing room! But we've got a great show for you tonight!"

After the show, Sweeney and Davino, who got engaged in 2022, held hands as they showed up at the 'SNL' afterparty.

Besides, the 'Reality' star also appeared in a sketch in which she told her boyfriend, played by Andrew Dismukes, that she "cheated on you with my boss and I think we should break up."

The fictional boss was none other than Powell, who asked Sweeney, "Hey babycakes, wanna get outta here?"

Glen Powell said he shared great chemistry with Sydney Sweeney

This was not the first time Sweeney spoke about rumors of an affair surrounding her and Powell.

In an August 2023 interview, she told Variety, "It’s a rom-com. That’s what people want! Glen and I don’t really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he’s such a hard worker, and I’m a hard worker."

Meanwhile, in December 2023, the 'Devotion' actor reportedly said, "A great rom-com doesn't survive without great chemistry, and Sydney is the easiest person to have chemistry with," as per ET.

He added, "She's awesome, obviously one of the most talented actresses we have. This movie has felt like a rom-com in itself because Sydney is very easy to pretend to fall in love with."
