Internet amused as Kanye West asks Nicki Minaj to clear their 'New Body' collab amid Atlanta Jingle Ball
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Music icons Kanye West and Nicki Minaj could be collaborating once again on a new song - that is, if Minaj accepts West’s last-minute request to give clearance for the long-awaited track 'New Body' on West's new album 'Vultures.'
West previewed the song featuring Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign during an album listening party earlier this week.
But shortly after, while Minaj was performing at the Jingle Ball concert in Atlanta, West took to social media asking the rap queen to officially sign off on the song’s release. Needless to say, the timing has stirred reactions across the internet.

'New Body' was meant to be in Kanye West’s scrapped album 'Yandhi'
According to Billboard, 'New Body' was originally meant to be included in West’s 2018 album 'Yandhi,' which never saw an official release.
A snippet of the song leaked online, featuring Minaj’s fiery verse and a catchy hook from Ty Dolla $ign. “You ain’t f--- me, you f---ed the old body,” Minaj raps. “Ain’t no miles on this here new body.”
The song embraces themes of confidence, plastic surgery, and female empowerment - a callback to West and Minaj’s legendary 2010 collab 'Monster.' It was set to be their first team-up since Minaj’s 2012 single 'Blazin.'
Nicki Minaj was headlining Jingle Ball concert when Kanye West reached out
West previewed the full 'New Body' track during an album listening event for his project 'Vultures,' set for release this Friday, December 15. This served as a promising sign that the song would finally see an official release.
However, hopes were put in limbo when West posted an iMessage screenshot to social media showing a text he sent to Minaj. “May I call you about clearing ‘New Body’ on the new album,” West asked in the message. No response from Minaj could be seen.
As it turns out, West reached out just as Minaj took the stage for her headlining set at the Jingle Ball concert series in Atlanta. With Minaj occupied, the fate of 'New Body' remains uncertain as West's new album can drop anytime now.

Another speculated, "He did it on purpose knowing she wouldn’t be able to respond." A different perspective emerged as a user suggested, "Put it out without her permission Ye, she won't be mad at you, she loves you."
