‘Taylor is shaking’: Internet jokes after Zendaya hints about returning to music ‘if right timing’ comes

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Zendaya’s acting career has been on an upward trajectory for the last decade, but apart from that 'Spiderman' star has multiple talents. She released her self-titled debut studio album in 2013 which included her song 'Replay.' Her fans will be thrilled to know that she might return to singing if "right time came."

Zendaya explained on Friday, April 26 episode of 'Jennifer Hudson Show' that she’s been waiting for the “right timing” to return to her music career. However, There was no sign of a second album made yet.

What did Zendaya say about her return to singing? 

"I love music, and it’s something that’s been special to me,” the 'Challengers' actress told Jennifer Hudson. She added, “I think being in the music industry, maybe it, it didn’t kill the joy of music, but it’s when you put music and business together. Sometimes it cannot feel so good.”

Zendaya performed at Coachella in 2023, singing with Labrinth to 'I’m Tired' and 'All for Us,' both of which were featured on HBO’s 'Euphoria.'

At that time, the moment was very well-received by the audience and fans went wild over clips on social media.

She even responded to the love in a tweet citing why she stepped away from music, “I stepped away from music quite a while ago, for a number of reasons, but I still really love it, so the kindness and support I’ve received the past few days just for a little tiny toe dip back into some music means the absolute world to me..thanks<3.”

Talking about the Labrinth appearance with Hudson, Zendaya said she refused the suggestion she performed at first. She said, "He asked me if I wanted to come out and perform and immediately I was like, ‘Oh, absolutely not.’ I was like ‘I can’t do that,’” she said, adding that she was worried about “stage fright.”

"I have bad memories of performing live when I was a kid,” Zendaya continued, but said she “can’t run from this forever.”

The 'Euphoria' star added, "You know, I think if the right timing and it came, because I like creating it for myself, but if there was a moment, maybe I would, you know, put out a little something,” further saying, "Don’t get crazy! We’ll see, but maybe one day.”

 

Internet thrilled over Zendaya's possible comeback to singing

Ever since the interview, several social media users have been overwhelmed by her potential comeback in singing. Few users compared Taylor Swift, with Zendaya with an Instagram user saying, "Taylor is shaking."

However, The List reported that neither Taylor Swift nor Zendaya have publicly said anything about each other since 2015. It also suggested that the two stars weren't on speaking terms after Zendaya shaded Swift, although neither star has ever confirmed nor denied it.
