Travis Kelce’s mom, 72-year-old Donna Kelce, publicly celebrated their engagement by changing her Facebook cover image to a side-by-side photo of the two as children on 26 August. 

Both look charming, with Taylor leaning against a tree in a white polo shirt and a sleeveless jacket, while Travis sports short bangs and a checked shirt, sporting a cheeky grin.

A Swift fan account first shared the image with the caption: "They are getting married," on X and later reposted on another Instagram fan account.

The couple revealed their engagement with a five-photo joint post on Instagram, giving fans a peek into their fairytale journey.

The caption read: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," paired with a dynamite emoji.

This marked the end of a two-year romance that had drawn attention from millions of fans, particularly Swift’s dedicated Swifties.

By August 29, the post had over 34 million likes, and according to Billboard, the engagement on the post is more than any other post has received on the social media website. 

Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift weeks before public announcement

The Chiefs' tight end proposed to the pop icon in the garden of his $6 million Leawood, Kansas, mansion, featuring a stone pathway, wrought iron gazebo, and chandelier.

Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, told News 5 Cleveland: "Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago. He was going to put it off till this week."

The engagement ring, designed by Kindred Lubeck and Artifex Fine Jewelry, is an Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond. Celebrity jeweler George Khalife estimates it to be "10-20 carats and the price could range from $1 million to $5 million," as per Hello!
