After spending a year thinking she “had to dress like the perfect NFL girlfriend,” the 34-year-old popstar is now ready to let herself loose, says a source to Life & Style.
According to the source, Swift, who made her relationship with the NFL star Travis Kelce public in September 2023, was initially conscious of their relationship’s public image.
However, after the couple withered the rumor of their one-year-old relationship being a PR stunt, the ‘Love Story’ singer is letting herself loosen up and has a whole new approach to dealing with things.

“Taylor’s really making a conscious effort to go with the flow a lot more now and let her hair down,” dished the source close to the ‘Cassandra’ singer to Life & Style.
Referencing the Grammy winner’s relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, they dished, “When they first got together, she was a lot more focused on the timing of everything, when they’d have their first public date, their first public kiss, what their PR messaging would be. That’s her style, she micromanages her image and always has.”
However, more than one year into the relationship, Swift has allegedly taken a different approach, as she has freed herself of the shackles of public expectations.
“But at this point, she just wants to take the shackles off and let people judge them based on what comes naturally,” noted the source before referencing her sartorial choices for the latest Chiefs games, saying, “You can see the change just based on what she wore to the game.”
Swift, who cultivated a reputation for wearing Chiefs uniforms and fans merchandise last year, took a complete U-turn in her dressing during this year’s games.
The source pointed out, “In the past she felt like she had to dress like the perfect NFL girlfriend and to her that meant head to toe team gear. This time she wore what she felt sexy in, she didn’t wear fan merch or team colors.”

The ‘Lover’ singer and her 35-year-old beau “used to hide out at home a lot because Taylor was afraid they might make a public misstep and get torn to shreds,” shared the insider. However, as their relationship is growing, “she’s determined to stop overthinking things.”
Not only did the source praise her glamorous looks during the Chiefs’ matches but also the couple’s candid demeanor during their outing to Lucali in New York in early September.
Citing her wish to stop overthinking, the source noted, “That’s why they just popped up at a pizza place in New York [earlier in September], Travis wanted pizza and he wanted to hang with normal people like he always used to.”
“And it turned out to be a great night, everyone was respectful and after the initial excitement they just blended in with the crowd and had a great time,” added the source.
The source concluded by saying that fans are “going to see more of that as time goes on, with the two of them doing a lot more spontaneous things because they want to, rather than it all having to be prearranged and micromanaged.”
