Taylor Swift's Eras Tour boosts Singapore's 2024 GDP
Singapore's economic outlook for 2024 has received a substantial lift, courtesy of Taylor Swift's highly anticipated Eras Tour, as reported by Bloomberg. The city-state's gross domestic product (GDP) projections for the first quarter of 2024 have surged to 2.9%, with annual growth forecasted at 2.5%, up from earlier estimates of 2.3%.
The ongoing six-concert tour, with each show drawing over 50,000 attendees, has significantly contributed to this economic upturn. Taylor Swift opts to skip football boyfriend reference in 'Fifteen' at Singapore concert
During her Eras tour show in Singapore on Thursday, March 7, Taylor Swift surprised fans by omitting a notable lyric about dating a football player from her song 'Fifteen'. The Grammy-winning singer, 34, skipped the lines "Well, in your life you’ll do things / Greater than dating the boy on the football team / I didn’t know it at 15" while performing a piano mashup of 'Fifteen' with 'You’re on Your Own, Kid'.
The decision to exclude this particular lyric from 'Fifteen', a nostalgic track from her 2008 debut album 'Fearless', raised eyebrows among Swifties, especially given her relationship with three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce, 34, whom she has been dating since August 2023.
Fan concert footage shared on TikTok captured the moment, sparking speculation and various theories on social media about why Swift chose to skip over the football-related reference.
