Taylor Swift concluded the European leg of her Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium on August 20, captivating nearly 100,000 fans but leaving many disappointed due to ticket shortages.

The secondary market for tickets faced issues, with prices soaring well above $1,000 because Swifties, like many others, are hesitant to sell even at high prices.

Markets typically balance supply and demand, but in this case, the reluctance of fans to part with their tickets led to inflated prices and unmet demand.

Taylor Swift has shattered a record long held by Michael Jackson with her eight Eras Tour performances at Wembley Stadium.

At 34, Swift became the first solo artist to achieve this milestone, surpassing Jackson’s record set during his Bad Tour in 1988.

Celebrating this achievement at her final London concert on August 20, Swift expressed her gratitude to the fans: “Because of you, you just made me the first solo artist to ever play Wembley eight times in a single tour.”

The BBC reports that Jackson held the previous record, and Swift's eight shows also tie her with Take That’s 2011 Progress Tour for the most performances at Wembley in a single tour. Swift’s European leg of the tour concluded on August 20, with a two-month break before resuming in Miami on October 18.

The Eras Tour is set to wrap up in Vancouver on December 8.
