Swift, a celebrated music icon, faced sharp criticism from pop critics for allegedly obstructing her pop rivals, Charli XCX and Billie Eilish, on the charts. This controversy arose following the release of Charli's acclaimed album 'Brat' in 2024, which was anticipated to debut at No 1 on the UK charts.

However, Swift surprised her fans by unexpectedly releasing multiple new UK-exclusive versions of 'The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD)', thwarting 'Brat's' ascent. Swift's strategy proved effective, securing 'TTPD' as her longest-running No 1 album in the UK, with Charli settling for second place.

According to royal analyst Kinsey Schofield, Swift declined Meghan Markle's invitation to appear on her podcast, despite Meghan personally asking her.
