In the wake of the foiled attack at the venue of Taylor Swift's Vienna concerts, an old article has recently gone viral where Swift revealed that her biggest fear was experiencing a terror attack at her concert. In an article for Elle in 2019, Swift wrote, "After the Manchester Arena bombing and the Vegas concert shooting, I was completely terrified to go on tour this time because I didn't know how we were going to keep 3 million fans safe over seven months."

"There was a tremendous amount of planning, expense, and effort put into keeping my fans safe," continued Swift, who was referencing the suicide bombing after an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, and the shooting during Jason Aldean's Route 91 Harvest Festival performance in Las Vegas. Both incidents took place in 2017
