Taylor Swift ‘in shock’ over Southport stabbings at Swift-themed dance class
Taylor Swift expressed shock and sorrow after a knife attack during a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga class in Southport resulted in the deaths of three children and left seven others critically injured.
The incident occurred on the morning of July 29 when a teenager armed with a knife entered the class, attended by children aged six to eleven.

Three children were killed, and eight others were injured, five critically. Two adults, believed to be the session leaders, were also critically injured while trying to protect the children.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. In response, several fundraisers have been initiated, including one by Taylor Swift fans to support the victims and their families.

The class, advertised as a Taylor Swift yoga and dance workshop, was fully booked and included activities like bracelet making, popular among Swift's fans.
Taylor Swift is currently on the European leg of her Eras tour and is set to perform in Warsaw, Poland, before returning to the UK for a series of concerts at Wembley Stadium in August.
In a post on Instagram, the US singer said: “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously. I’m just completely in shock … The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first responders.
“These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”
