Taylor Swift achieved a milestone in Lyon, France, with her sold-out Eras Tour, setting a new attendance record for a female artist. The singer, adorned in a pink bejeweled jacket and bodysuit, addressed the 61,000 fans at Groupama Stadium, marking her first visit to Lyon.

The previous night, Swift announced that the crowd had broken the venue's all-time attendance record for a female artist, a trend seen in other cities on her tour. "You broke that record," she exclaimed as the crowd erupted in applause despite the looming gray clouds.

The weather remained dry at night, unlike the rain during the 'Reputation' era performance, with temperatures in the low 60s. Swift paused her performance of the extended 'All Too Well" to request assistance for fans needing water, demonstrating her attentiveness to the audience's well-being.

The singer also repeated her plea for help while playing 'Betty' during the 'Folklore'/'Evermore' set. Swift and her team will enjoy a four-day break before their next shows in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Taylor Swift yelled 'But Daddy, I Love Him' at her father

A teenage Taylor Swift famously shouted “But daddy, I love him!” to her father, Scott, during a memorable argument years before writing her breakout track 'Love Story.' In a 2008 interview with PopSugar, Swift recounted how this intense moment of defiance inspired her hit song from her second album, 'Fearless.'

Reflecting on the incident, Swift described it as her only significant teenage tantrum, which culminated in her storming into her room and penning the now-iconic track. Nearly 16 years later, Swift released 'The Tortured Poets Department' (TTPD), which includes a song that references this pivotal moment.

In the song, she sings, “Now I’m running with my dress unbuttoned / Screaming ‘But Daddy I love him!’ / I’m having his baby / No, I’m not, but you should see your faces,” depicting a forbidden love and familial disapproval.

Fans speculated that Swift hinted at her brief romance with Matty Healy in the song, citing lyrics about being a “wild child” with a “wild boy.” Healy, known for his controversial antics, dated Swift for about a month last year.

Additionally, fans believe Swift references her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce in the song’s later verses, which describe her family’s eventual acceptance of her partner, “Now I’m dancing in my dress in the sun and / Even my daddy just loves him / I’m his lady, and oh my God / You should see your faces.”

Swift seemed to confirm this interpretation during her Eras Tour in Paris, transitioning from 'But Daddy I Love Him' into 'So High School,' a song presumed to be about Kelce, alluding to football and the Kansas City Chiefs. The couple went public with their romance in September 2023 after months of private dating.
