Taylor Swift responds as Travis Kelce’s comment about not having any 'dry spell' in the bedroom draws flak
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Travis Kelce may have drawn flak for boasting to have never experienced a "dry spell" in the bedroom while giving romantic advice on his podcast, but girlfriend Taylor Swift remains unconcerned.
The 35-year-old NFL star, who has been in a relationship with the 34-year-old pop icon since the previous summer, shared some romantic advice while conversing with his brother Jason Kelce on their 'New Heights' podcast.
Travis Kelce gives advice to spice up marriage on 'New Heights' podcast
Travis Kelce proposed that a man in his fifties, who had called into the podcast, go to the novelty store Spencer's to get adult stuff and partake in other intimate activities, in order to spice up his marriage.
The remarks ignited outrage among Swift's devoted fans, who labeled the tight end as "disrespectful." However, the 'Bad Blood' singer remained unbothered, with insiders asserting that Kelce's comments were not meant to be "creepy."
"Taylor doesn't have a problem with it," an insider exclusively informed Daily Mail. "Nobody close to Taylor thinks badly of Travis. They are all 100 per cent supportive. His comments about his sex life were not said in a creepy way, he was being honest."
They further added, "Travis has a healthy relationship with Taylor. He's smart enough to not put his foot in his mouth and say or do something stupid to derail that. What he said was appropriate."
Travis Kelce offers romantic advice to 'New Heights' caller
Travis Kelce and his sibling Jason offered useful advice to a listener who admitted to experiencing difficulties with his wife.
"I will personally mention that I have no idea what that's [like]," Kelce spoke to the caller, then suggested that he "maybe just try to get some candles, get some rose petals, try and be a little romantic."
He further suggested, "Set the mood a little bit more. Maybe you just gotta rekindle that flame a little more. Get that thing going, take her to a nice restaurant. These are all things I would try and do."
He went on to say, "Women, they're weird." He also mentioned that women may not always desire intimacy.
A separate source emphasized that the athlete's remarks demonstrate his "romantic" nature and confirm his commitment to Swift's happiness.
"Travis' comments go to show what a romantic guy he truly is and that he goes above and beyond to keep the romance alive and thriving with Taylor," they said.
They went on to say, "It also goes to show that he is an attentive boyfriend that is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Taylor happy and fulfilled."
