Taylor Swift’s biggest celebrity feuds: Courtney Love is latest to diss singer, says she's not important
All the celebrities who had bad blood with Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has quite a few good friends in her life about whom she writes in her songs. However, the pop sensation has also made some foes throughout her remarkable career. As the 'Miss Americana' star dropped her double album of 'The Tortured Poets Department' on Friday, April 19, fans started speculating that there are at least two diss tracks about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. While Swift might have written 'Cassandra' and 'thanK you, aIMee' to shade the SKIMS founder and her ex-husband, Kardashian and West are not the only celebrities in Hollywood who share a sour relationship with Swift. Here is a list of celebrities who have had friction with the 14-times Grammy-winning singer in the past.
1. Courtney Love
Courtney Love is not holding back from sharing her honest opinion about the 'Cruel Summer' singer. Prior to Swift dropping 'TTPD' on April 19, on April 14, Love was asked about the women in the music industry. While discussing the women musicians she liked as well as she wasn't fond of, The Hole member was asked about Swift. Replying that Swift was "not important," Love explained, "She's a safe space for girls, and she's probably the Madonna of now, but she's not interesting as an artist," per The Sun.

Kanye West and Taylor Swift's tiff spanned over decades. In 2009, West - after giving an award to Swift - famously interrupted the 'Lover' singer in her speech. After taking the mic, the 'Donda' rapper said, "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you and imma let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time." Though the duo appeared to have reconciled later, the Yeezy founder's 2016 song 'Famous' reignited the feud. In the song, the singer rapped controversially, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have s*x / Why? I made that b***h famous / I made that b***h famous." After the video released, Swift claimed she had no idea that West would call her "b***h" in the song, though West's ex-wife Kim Kardashian implied otherwise.
3. Kim Kardashian
The 2016 song 'Famous' that reignited the feud with West, also initiated the famous fight between Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift. Kim shared a recorded phone call to "prove" that Swift knew about the lyrics. Kim also shared in an interview with GQ, "She totally approved that; she wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't." However, Swift has always maintained she did not know about the lyrics and shared the fight felt like "a career death" and it was "taken away" from her. During her interview with TIME, Swift said, "You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar," before adding, "That took me down psychologically to a place I've never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn't leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls."
4. Katy Perry
Taylor Swift had a 'Bad Blood' with Katy Perry over background dancers. During 2013-14, Swift alleged Perry "stole" her backup dancers while she was embarking on her world tour. It also ensued a song battle between the two singers as Swift released her 'Bad Blood' in 2015, which many fans believed was aimed at Perry. In 2017, the 'American Idol' judge also released her diss track 'Swish Swish'. While none of the singers confirmed the speculations, they appeared to have patched up in 2019 when Perry became a part of Swift's music video for 'You Need To Calm Down'. Perry recently attended an Eras Tour show in Australia and she clicked a backstage selfie with Swift.
5. Scooter Braun
Taylor Swift's famous dispute with Scooter Braun is the reason Swifties are getting the 'Taylor's Version' of her famous albums - 'Taylor Swift' (2006), 'Fearless' (2008), 'Speak Now' (2010), 'Red' (2012), '1989' (2014), and 'Reputation' (2017). Swift's feud with Braun stemmed in from the event where the owner of her music group Big Machine Records sold the company to celebrity manager Scooter Braun for $300 million. The sale included all of Swift's masters till 'Reputation' - without informing the singer. After changing her record label, Swift shared a statement on her Tumblr page, "For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work. Instead, I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and ‘earn’ one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in," before adding, "I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past."
6. Demi Lovato
Taylor Swift's relationship with Demi Lovato has always been layered, ever since Lovato called out Swift for not publicly supporting Kesha in her legal battle with producer Dr Luke. Lovato tweeted during that time, "I'm also ready for self-proclaimed feminists to start speaking out or taking action for women's rights," per Business Insider. A few hours later on the same day, Swift's representative revealed to Billboard that the 14-times Grammy-winning star had donated $250,000 to Kesha "to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time". Lovato tweeted again, "Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I'll be impressed." Their feud continued in 2019 when Lovato's manager acquired the Big Machine Records. After signing Braun in May of the same year, Lovato defended him by writing on her Instagram Story, "I have dealt with bad people in the industry and Scooter is not one of them. He's a good man. Personally, I'm grateful he came into my life when he did. Please stop dragging' people or bullying them. There's enough hate in this world as it is." However, two months later, she extended an olive branch as she shared a screenshot of her listening to 'Cruel Summer'. She also wrote, "Life's too short for women to not support other women.. especially when women release great music. Great job @taylorswift." Swift later thanked by writing on her Instgram Story, "This is so awesome & put the biggest smile on my face."
