Ted Danson calls out Woody Harrelson over disastrous motorcycle crash: 'Pieces of my bike'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Woody Harrelson has built a reputation for his adventurous spirit, but according to his longtime friend Ted Danson, that thrill-seeking nature sometimes leads to disaster.
During Wednesday’s episode of their podcast 'Where Everybody Knows Your Name With Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson' (Sometimes), the duo chatted with magician David Blaine when the topic of motorcycles took center stage.

Ted Danson recounts Woody Harrelson's motorcycle crash
Danson humorously recounted an incident in which Harrelson crashed a motorcycle at his Ojai home.
“He backed out of our gate up in Ojai, took it right off the track. It was days before I could get the fence working,” Danson said, laughing.
“Sorry, I had to bring it up,” he added.
Blaine, who is also friends with Harrelson, added to the conversation with his own tale.
He revealed that when Harrelson borrowed his motorcycle in Los Angeles, the actor promptly crashed it.
“In L.A., you cannot walk, but I have a motorcycle here to get around, which is pretty amazing,” Blaine said.
“He takes my motorcycle, and the first thing he does is like, boom,” he shared.
Danson asked, “Puts it down?” to which Blaine replied, “Yes! Right away.”
Woody Harrelson’s habit of returning damaged motorcycles
Harrelson himself acknowledged the trend, recalling an incident from a few years ago when he borrowed Blaine’s bike while working in upstate New York.
“And like he gives me pieces of the bike back. I’m not kidding,” Blaine said.
“He’s like, ‘Oh, here’s your mirror, it fell off when I dropped the bike, and here’s your tail light, it also fell off,’” he added.
Blaine continued, “I’ll have pieces—I have pieces of my bike. I take pictures and send them to him years later.”

Harrelson seemed to take the accusations in stride, laughing along with his friends about his apparent history of motorcycle mishaps.
Woody Harrelson’s June motorcycle crash in Los Angeles
In June 2024, Harrelson was involved in a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles while en route to a joint interview with Danson on the 'Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast.
“I think a tumble is a fair term. I did go over my handlebars,” Harrelson recounted.
“I was honestly and embarrassingly passing this Tesla on the left that I felt was moving a little slow, and I didn’t realize he was moving slow because he was taking a left. I was on a motorcycle,” he shared.
Harrelson sustained an injury to his wrist, and when he and Danson arrived at the podcast studio, Danson helped wrap the wound.
“We’re in the bathroom and I was like, ‘You played a doctor right?’” Harrelson recalled, referencing Danson’s past role on 'The Doctors'.
“He says, ‘Yeah, I also played a lawyer so we can sue the guy,’” he added.
Woody Harrelson’s run-in with the Tesla driver
A month later, in July 2024, Harrelson spoke about the accident again during an appearance on Dax Shepard’s 'Armchair Expert' podcast.
He revealed that the Tesla driver initially scolded him, until he took off his helmet.
“He’s like, ‘I know you. I don’t remember your name,’” Harrelson recalled.

“I said, ‘Woody.’ Then we were doing some laughing before it was all over," said the 'True Detective' actor.
