LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Teddi Mellencamp is being honest about the toll her cancer journey has taken.

After sharing earlier this year that her condition had reached stage four, the reality star recently opened up about why she has decided to temporarily pause her immunotherapy treatment.

Teddi Mellencamp can barely open her eyes and 'keep my words straight'

On the July 23 episode of her and Tamra Judge’s podcast, 'Two Ts in a Pod', Teddi Mellencamp revealed she hadn’t been feeling well for nearly a month.

“I hadn’t been feeling good for about a month, which was kind of shocking to me, and I think mentally did a lot to me. I was like, ‘What do you mean? I felt so good right after the surgeries and then when I was having radiation and immunotherapy I was feeling good so why do I feel like I can barely do this right now? Why do I feel like I can barely open my eyes and keep my words straight?’” the 44-year-old shared.

The symptoms pushed Mellencamp to schedule an emergency doctor’s appointment, which led to the discovery that her treatment itself was causing her decline.

“What’s happening with me is that the longer I am on immunotherapy, the sicker it’s making me. It’s really hit me… It has really hit me,” the former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' cast member said.

Teddi Mellencamp shares 'everything is looking good' despite difficult side effects

Despite the physical toll, her medical team had some good news.

“So what the doctors have decided to do for me because this immunotherapy has hit me so incredibly hard, they did a bunch of scans and everything is looking good, everything is shrinking,” she noted.

Mellencamp added, “Why I medically feel so sick is from the immunotherapy. So, we are going to take a little break on the immunotherapy to get my body back feeling stronger and we’re going to do steroids and everything to get me back to feeling like — I can do all the things.”

Teddi Mellencamp says cancer has 'changed my kids’ life' and impacted her daily routine

Teddi Mellencamp spoke candidly about how her recent health struggles have affected her family life with her and ex Edwin Arroyave’s three children, Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, five.

“I started out feeling great. I could do all these things, and I could go to all my daughter’s horse shows and I could stay at my house by myself and I felt really strong,” Mellencamp recalled.

As her condition fluctuated, it became more difficult to manage.

“The hardest part for me has been like, ‘Wow, I can’t do what I did yesterday,’” Mellencamp said. “Or ‘Wow, I can’t do what I did three weeks ago.’ Or for me today, I’m still shaking and stuff, but I have a lot of energy today.”

She also acknowledged how her illness has reshaped family dynamics.

“It has changed my kids’ life, it has changed my relationship with Edwin… He’s had to step in and help me because some days I can’t do it,” Mellencamp shared.
