'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood blasts critics accusing her of murdering ex-fiance Gary Wayt
ANDERSON, INDIANA: Amber Portwood is sharing her side of a harrowing ordeal that’s shaken her world.
In the season finale of 'Teen Mom: The Next Chapter' on September 12, the reality star broke down as she recounted the emotional toll her then-fiance, Gary Wayt’s, mysterious disappearance had on her mental health—and the cruel conspiracies that followed.
Amber Portwood breaks down over social media accusations
"That day, that man left for no reason," Amber Portwood sobbed outside her psychiatrist's office, reflecting on the trauma of the incident.
"Why am I getting persecuted? 'We know Amber killed him'. I had to deal with that. Do you know how that feels? When people are calling you a murderer about your f**king fiance?" E News reported.
For Portwood, who has faced public scrutiny for much of her life, the accusations cut deeper than any previous controversy.

"They were calling me a murderer, and they said I f**king killed him," she revealed, her voice breaking with emotion.
The ordeal began in June when Wayt was reported missing, only to be located less than a week later.

Yet, the damage had already been done. "I've had to deal with thinking my fiance was dead for three to four days," Portwood shared, describing the agony of uncertainty.
"I had to deal with literally grieving and trying to make sense of why the f**k would somebody do this to me."
Amber Portwood opens up about mental health struggles
For Amber Portwood, this emotional storm collided with years of battling bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder, conditions she has managed for over 15 years.
"I'm in such a weird space that I've never been in," she admitted. "This rambling is so backward for me."
Reflecting on Wayt’s decision to leave, Portwood expressed how deeply it broke her. "This man broke me. I was stable. Right now, this is the first time in years in my life I am not f**king right because a man put a ring on my finger."
The betrayal, she said, extended beyond their relationship. "It's not just about a man," Portwood lamented.
"He looked at my family, my daughter, and just asked to be a big, happy family."
While the exact reasons for Wayt’s sudden departure remain unclear, Portwood speculated that her past legal troubles may have played a role.
I think I figured this one out. Amber Portwood & her fiance Gary Wayt had an argument, he left his phone or she took it and he straight up DIPPED OUT. I think he told her he was leaving and after 22 hrs & he still wasn't back, she reported him MISSING.

"I guess his dad read my Wikipedia page," she said, referencing her history, including time spent in prison and abuse allegations. She believes these revelations may have planted doubt in Wayt’s mind.
"Maybe he was holding in the fact that maybe he heard from his family or something and not telling me. I was just saying, 'I can't do this'."
For Portwood, the unresolved tension over her past created a wall between them. "How can we get married then if your family can't accept me?" she emphasized. "Maybe he took that as me breaking up with him. It seemed like to me he was upset and maybe hopeless."
According to People, Wayt was reported missing on June 9, last seen in Bryson City, North Carolina, after leaving their hotel following a discussion with Portwood.
Concern grew for his safety, leading to a public plea for information from Portwood and the police.
UPDATE: GARY WAYT HAS BEEN LOCATED.
